Hello.
While in Dubai in February, I picked up a Sephora nail polish to try out. I have a pretty big nail polish collection so I tried to find an unusual colour that I wouldn't already have. Shrimp Cocktail, a unique looking pink with silver glitter, caught my eye.

In the bottle, it looks like a very interesting combination of a pink polish with silver glitter running through it. I didn't really know what to expect but I was intrigued to see how it would look on my nails.

I was a little disappointed to find that the polish appeared as nothing more than a normal glittery pink polish. The silver glitter, which seemed very prominient in the bottle, is almost non exitent on the nail.
One thing I was impressed with was the application. The nail polish brush was extremely thick, which I am not a big fan of, making it a little more messy than I would have liked. However, the thickness of the brush made it much quicker to apply. The consistency of the polish was rather thick, meaning that the polish needed no more than one coat.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to see what the polish would look like with a matte top coat. I definitely preferred the look of the polish with the matte top coat and I actually liked it quite a lot.
Unfortunately, the nail polish really disappointed me when, after only one day, it began to chip! I left it on as it wasn't too bad to start with and wasn't very noticeable. However, after about two days the nail polish was almost gone and I had to remove it. I don't know whether this was the polish or the top coat, as I have only used the top coat twice before, so I may try this polish again with a different top coat and hopefully it may last slightly longer.
Overall, I like the quick and easy application of the nail polish but the colour, brush size and durability of the polish was quite disappointing. I'm not sure whether or not I would consider repurchasing a Sephora nail polish but I may do so in the future for comparison.
